Dr. Danika Garby

Naturopath

BSc (Kinesiology), MSc (Acupuncture), ND

Dr. Garby holds a BSc in Human Kinetics (Kinesiology) from the University of Ottawa, a Master’s in Acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport (Connecticut), and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Toronto).

Supporting her daughter through a diagnosis of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) over the past decade significantly shaped both her personal and professional path, guiding her work toward integrative pain care within active lives.

She has always had a strong connection to sport and healthy living and understands how challenging both can become when pain enters the picture. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between sports, movement, healthy living, and pain, demonstrating that it is possible to stay active and care for one’s health even when pain is present.

Within a sports medicine setting, she supports athletes and individuals across the lifespan through integrative, coordinated care. She works alongside interdisciplinary teams to bridge performance, rehabilitation, and pain care, helping people remain engaged in movement, recovery, and daily life when pain becomes complex or persistent.

Her work emphasizes practical, integrative strategies and care coordination across prevention, maintenance, rehabilitation, and more complex pain presentations, with close collaboration alongside physicians, physiotherapists, athletic therapists, coaches, and other allied health professionals.

She is also involved in community- and hospital-based advisory and advocacy work related to pediatric and chronic pain care.
