Melissa Healy

Melissa graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and is a Certified Athletic Therapist. Originally from Owen Sound, she relocated to the Ottawa area to work as The Sports Medicine Centre’s Athletic Therapist at the Canadian International Hockey Academy.

Melissa has experience working with rugby, soccer, basketball, water polo, the National Ballet of Canada, hockey, volleyball, and has won two national championships with lacrosse. She also has experience working in inpatient rehab, working with transplant patients, trauma and burns, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic patients, and amputees. Melissa relies on exercise prescription in her treatments and manual skills, including muscle energy and soft tissue release.
