Dr. Chantale Lussier is a Mental Performance Consultant (MPC) and the Podcast host of Rising aHead. A highly sought-after specialist in her field, Chantale has worked with thousands of competitive, Olympic, Paralympic, and pro athletes (NFL, CFL, NHL), coaches, IST / health professionals, dancers, performing artists, executives, entrepreneurs, military, & emergency personnel (police, firefighters, first responders, etc). A professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA), she brings a wealth of knowledge and over 32 years of experience in high performance environments to her practice.

Some of her organizational clients have included the Ottawa Senators (NHL), the Ottawa Redblacks (CFL), Football Canada, Speed Skating Canada, Equestrian Canada, Hockey Canada, DND, The Canadian Olympic Committee’s Game Plan, Own the Podium, Carleton University Ravens’ W hockey and W rugby, and more. She has taught at the University of Ottawa’s School of Human Kinetics and School of Music, and at St Paul University’s School of Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality. A graduate of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, she enjoyed a 12-year career as a professional dance artist and educator.

Informed by the latest scientific findings in applied sport and performance psychology, she embraces a holistic, person-centered approach to care. Her practice is inclusive and sensitive to diversity in culture, spirituality, ability, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Areas of expertise include mental health literacy, mental skills training, career transitions, creativity and innovation, team cohesion, transformational leadership & healthy cultures of excellence. A kidney cancer survivor, her motto “less kidney, more heart” inspires her warrior mindset. Knowledgeable, intuitive, & creative, she’s been called a “game changer” by clients.
